Rumah Hope Visitation

Before the event~~~

Our first community service project is “Rumah Hope Visitation” which is having a visitation to orphanage home. The purpose of this project is to spread care, love, positive message to the kids in the homes which eliminate the negative thinking like being unwanted person or neglected society.

Before the event day, we will have several meeting to discuss the flow and direction of the project going. After decided on the location of orphanage home, we talked about the budget and agreed with each person give in RM30 as the budget and also things that need to prepare for the kids. After that, we decided to prepare a package of stationary for each kid which is practical and the presents for the several June birthday kids. Then, some of the member responsible in purchased the items in shops. 

During the event~~~

There are 13 children participate with us in the event which not in our expected which are 45 person before. So, we made some changes in our early plan which changed certain games which fit the amount of children and their age range which are 4 - 13 years old. At the beginning, we had an introduction with them and play an ice breaking game- chicken dance. The kids are participated actively and adore it a lot. 

The kids love dancing very much and they made the dances so lively and cheerful. After that, we had a game called- Simon Says and Lost and Found. 


There are certain small incidents occurred happened such as the game “Lost and Found”, we hidden the alphabets cards are lost, we immediately made the missing cards for them. After the find the alphabets card, we assisted them to rearrange the alphabets cards and explain to them the meaning of the words. The kids who win for the games will get a small prize such as small notebooks and key chains, while the kids who lose the games will get sweets. 



After the games session, we had a surprise birthday celebration party to the two kids which name Mercy and Grace. Then, the kids played the balloon around the house and we assisted them wrote about their wishes and stick to the wishes board. Before leaving, we gave them the stationary packages and took a group photo with them.

After The Project ~~~

We feel so delighted for participate in this community service project as it is meaningful for helping and caring to the kids. The event will be awesome and fun with the kids. We will appreciate the opportunity that the college given to us to organize an meaningful experienced community service project. through this event, we glad that the smile on the children faces are priceless and unexplainable even so we’re lucky enough to have parent with us, learn to appreciate those still around you until they’re last breath on this world.
